💀 Wipe Chance Explained

Wipe chances represent the probability of failing a wave (dying, running out of supplies, etc.):

• Individual Waves: Each wave has its own wipe chance percentage
• Cumulative Effect: The more waves you attempt, the higher your overall wipe chance becomes
• Mathematical Impact: Higher wipe chances increase your expected cycle time, as you'll need more attempts to complete runs successfully

Example: If Wave 5 has a 10% wipe chance and Wave 6 has 15%, attempting waves 1-6 gives you roughly a 23% chance of wiping somewhere during the run.

🎯 Strategy Optimization

The calculator compares different stopping points (1-3 waves vs 1-6 waves, etc.) and finds the strategy that gives you the best time-to-drop ratio. Sometimes stopping earlier is more efficient, even if individual waves have better drop rates!

• Strategy: Which waves to complete (e.g., "1-5" means waves 1 through 5)

🧮 Mathematical Foundation

The calculator uses an advanced wave-by-wave mathematical model that accounts for drops obtained from any completed wave, even if you wipe on later waves:

Key Insight: This model correctly accounts for scenarios where you get a drop from wave 8 but wipe on wave 9 - you still keep the drop!
